Event Description
This class is designed to help little hands develop fine motor skills and coordination through the colorful world of needle and thread. In a patient, playful environment, children will practice the “up and down” motion of stitching, helping to strengthen their dexterity and focus.
Join us for a hands-on introduction to embroidery!
We’ve adapted traditional techniques for young makers. This class is perfect for building the hand-eye coordination needed for writing and drawing while creating a masterpiece to take home.
What your child will learn:
The Basics: How to thread a needle and make a simple knot.
Fundamental Stitches: Learning the “running stitch” and “cross stitch” on easy-to-see grids.
Precision & Patience: Focusing on placing the needle through specific holes to follow a pattern.
Creative Expression: Choosing colors and textures to “draw” with yarn.
Skills developed: Fine motor control, pincer grasp, bilateral coordination, and concentration.
